Cardiolife Appoints Trygve Refvem to its Board of Directors
Cardiolife is pleased to announce the appointment of Trygve Refvem to its Board of Directors. This further strengthens Cardiolife’s board and strategic capabilities as the company continues to scale internationally.
Refvem is a technology leader, serial entrepreneur, and strategist with extensive experience in digital transformation, platform development, and the practical application of Generative AI across both public and enterprise sectors. He currently serves as Head of Concept Enablement at ElBits, where he leads the validation and scaling of next-generation technology concepts, with a particular focus on advanced AI capabilities and frameworks.
“We are very pleased to welcome Trygve to the Cardiolife board,” says Joao Neto, Chair of the Board of Cardiolife. “He combines strategic insight with hands-on experience in scaling advanced technology and applying AI in complex and highly regulated environments. His perspective will be highly valuable as Cardiolife continues to grow internationally.”
“Cardiolife is solving a problem that matters, getting accurate, fast ECG interpretation into the hands of more clinicians and patients. Having spent years putting AI to practical use in demanding, high-stakes environments, I'm excited to help the team scale a technology where reliability isn't a nice-to-have, it's everything. I'm proud to join the board,” says Refvem.
Refvem has been at the forefront of the Generative AI wave in Norway. Prior to joining ElBits, Refvem led the Innovation Team within the IT division of Norwegian Tax Administration, where he spearheaded the agency’s strategy, exploration, and deployment of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). His work helped establish a benchmark for how large public institutions can safely and effectively adopt AI-driven technologies.
Refvem also brings deep experience from the Nordic technology and media sector. He previously served as Vice President Digital at NENT Group, where he led the transformation of digital streaming platforms, including Viafree, and helped establish innovation hubs bridging corporate and startup environments.
The appointment comes at a time of strong momentum for Cardiolife, as the company continues expanding its AI-enabled ECG analysis platform for clinicians, device manufacturers, ECG service providers, and pharma CROs globally.
